Job Description

The Contract Coordinator is responsible for coordinating negotiations for new and renewing contracts and amendments. Supports all aspects of Contract Management tasks dealing with RFPs, proposal development and submittal, negotiations, definitization, Proprietary Agreements, Teaming Arrangements and Interdivision Work Orders. Effectively deal with external customers and interface with all levels of internal Management.

Responsibilities

  • Supports contracting department by drafting contracts, and letters. Creates, maintains and updates contract summaries with current, accurate contract and demographic information.
  • Upon execution of Contracts, MOUs or Amendments notifies all impacted departments and scans all related documents to T:\ HMO Contracting drive and files hard copies in the MHO Contract binders.
  • Responsible for the HMO Contracting email box and answering and resolving urgent questions or urgently needed information.
  • Responsible for completing DMHC “possible termination” forms upon request of health plans.
  • Responsible for researching claim or benefit issues as needed or directed by Director, Contract Administrator or COO.
  • Completes mail merge documents as assigned. Generates and tracks mass mailing projects by creating merged documents, mailing documents, tracking documents from mailing to receipt, then preparing documents for execution and routing e-change forms.
  • Receives and/or routes calls to facilitate and resolve customer service or other contracting related issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: Contracting, Provider Relations or claims. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
