About the Role:

As a Technical Product Manager for Platform and APIs, you will play a key role in shaping the core infrastructure and API/SDK ecosystem that empowers our Partners and internal teams. Your focus will be on leading the development and optimization of our core platform technical capabilities, enabling seamless integrations, and driving the roadmap and direction for our APIs/SDKs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and customer success, to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions that align with business objectives and meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Day to Day:

  • Develop and own the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for platform features, APIs and product SDKs.
  • Define and track key metrics and KPIs to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Align platform capabilities and API offerings with our strategic vision and partner needs.
  • Create detailed product requirements, specifications, and use cases for new platform features and API enhancements.
  • Prioritize backlog items, balancing short-term priorities with strategic goals and partner needs.
  • Work with developers from partners to improve the API, developer journey, focusing on usability, documentation, and integration ease.
  • Conduct market research to keep our platform and API capabilities competitive and innovative.
  • Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders (internal and external) for platform and API-related initiatives.
  • Communicate project status, roadmap updates, and technical constraints to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with security and engineering teams to ensure that APIs and platform features meet security and compliance standards.
  • Identify scalability challenges and drive solutions that enhance system performance and resilience.
  • Monitor API usage and ensure it adheres to SLAs and best practices.
  • Build partnerships with third-party developers, vendors, and key customers to expand the API ecosystem.

What you bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on platforms, infrastructure, or APIs.
  • Strong background in a technical field, such as software engineering, computer science, or IT, is highly preferred.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on complex technical projects.
  • Proficient understanding of API technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL), cloud services, and platform architecture.
  • Experience shipping and managing SDKs and their lifecycle
  • Familiarity with API management tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and monitoring systems.
  • Experience with networking technologies such as VPN, firewalls, AV etc.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Customer-focused with a keen interest in enhancing developer and user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a SaaS, API, SDK focused organization.
  • Understanding of data security practices and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Pay range for this position is $123,000 - $175,000 but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
