Job description

Role: Google Cloud Platform Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 3 Months+ (With a Possibility of Extension)
Work Hours: US Time (PST or MST)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM)

Client is Looking for Expertise in cloud-based post-production workflows for media and entertainment. The project involves building and optimizing a cloud-based editing infrastructure for production asset management, specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role requires a proactive problem solver who can design cloud workflows, handle large media files, and ensure secure and efficient cloud-based post-production processes.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Setup: Implement cloud storage, workflows, and editing tools (Adobe Premiere) to handle high-speed, large asset files.
Media Asset Management: Manage assets like master artwork, metadata, subtitles, dubs, and trims (e.g., removing logos).
Security & Workflow Design: Ensure secure workflows for downloading and editing content while maintaining assets within the cloud (no migration out).
Editing Infrastructure: Collaborate with editing teams using high-performance storage and cloud workstations (SDI Rally, GCP, etc.).
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including media teams and executives, to define requirements and troubleshoot challenges.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Media & Entertainment Experience: Prior experience in media or entertainment post-production workflows in a cloud environment.
GCP Experience: Hands-on experience with GCP cloud, including managing assets, workflows, and high-speed storage;.GCP Workstations
Cloud Solutions & Security: Strong understanding of securing digital content and designing efficient cloud solutions for production.
Communication: Ability to articulate project challenges and solutions to stakeholders, particularly executives.

Nice to Have Experience:

Previous work with cloud-based editing tools and workflows.
Familiarity with SDVI Rally and GCP high-speed storage solutions.
Experience in leading or contributing to media projects, such as content approval and digital asset management (e.g., Discovery, Fox).
