Job Description:

The IT Service Center is responsible for resolving customer/client technical problems and responding to questions in accordance with service level objectives, processes, and procedures. The team also plays a strong part in support readiness for the deployment of new technologies, applications, and processes throughout Cardinal Health.  A Project Advisor is responsible to understand and execute the project lifecycle and leverage tools and techniques to meet the specific objectives.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with the IT project management lifecycle such as initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
  • Partner with project manager, customer and client advisors on the successful execution of build initiatives.
  • Work closely with the project manager to communicate updates to the frontline analysts and leadership on support processes and issues.
  • Effectively balances competing constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to drive successful outcomes.
  • Prioritizes multiple deliverables while continuing to meet deadlines.
  • Required to learn and become proficient in our organizational processes.
  • Ability to lead IT initiatives and can align the needs of the technology to our best practices.
  • Create and maintain process documentation through coordination with various teams.
  • Works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Works on assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve.
  • Achieve positive outcomes when receiving only general guidance (may receive more detailed instruction on some efforts).
  • Maintain current, detailed plans and milestones to support various initiatives.
  • Create, maintain and distribute regular status reports and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure project milestones are met on time and identify risks pertaining to the execution of the project.
  • Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience leading IT initiatives with a demonstrated ability to execute on time and on budget.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating status, issues and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize a project or initiative.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and ensure that the deliverables are completed within the set timeframe.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and highly motivated.
  • Possess high level of personal initiative.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Applicable technical certifications preferred.
  • Candidate must be amenable to flexible scheduling.
  • Work from Home Ready (with minimum 45 mbps internet connection).
