Dataminr is hiring for an experienced Public Sector sales leader who will spearhead the sales of our cutting-edge cybersecurity and physical security products to Public Sector clients in State, Local and Education government on the West Coast.

This role is remote and based in a major city on the West Coast of the US.

The opportunity
  • Develop strong vision and understanding of Dataminr's US SLED business and strategic goals

  • Plan, implement, and execute on sales strategy, leveraging market knowledge and experience to convey product value proposition and positioning

  • Motivate, develop, and drive a team of sellers and cultivate a performance-based culture built on providing value to public sector organizations

  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key prospective customers and organizational leaders

  • Lead client mission and operational processes, identifying ways to integrate Dataminr into our clients' workflows and recommending best practices

  • Coach sellers through complex sales and taking a consultative approach to selling

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; advanced degree a plus

  • 10+ years of proven enterprise software/SaaS sales experience with at least 2 years of experience leading teams selling to and directly supporting SLED public sector organizations

  • Knowledge of publicly available information and social media utilization efforts of public sector organizations, including SLED agencies, cyber security, transportation, law enforcement, emergency management, public information, and/or public health

  • Extensive experience successfully selling into complex public sector entities with a strong track record of negotiation and closing with a deep understanding of sales process and business drivers for public sector clients

  • Proven success as a sales leader in high-growth technology companies

  • Proven experience of successfully driving cybersecurity growth

The base salary range for this position is $195,000 - $202,500. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.

In addition to the benefits set forth above, the compensation package for this role also includes an annual commission target of $130,000 - $135,000 based on the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.
