This position is entirely remote, allowing for an independent contractor arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail while adhering to client-specific style guides.
• Collaborate effectively with our in-office team for support and guidance when needed.
• Manage your workload to meet strict client deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of transcripts.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
• Exceptional listening skills coupled with outstanding literacy, including grammar and spelling.
• Strong ability to adhere to deadlines and follow style guides.
• Proficient typing skills in both speed and accuracy.
• Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
• Ability to process sensitive audio/text content which may be distressing or offensive.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Court reporting students are also welcome to apply.
