We are looking for a Project Manager - DET Engagement to assist with a variety of responsibilities that support low-income test takers around the world as well as the universities we work closely with. You’ll work closely with our Access Program and Institutional Success verticals – as well as test takers and universities – in order to support + improve our internal processes for low-income students and the organizations that support them while simultaneously helping us maintain very positive relationships with the universities we serve.

You will…

  • Support the managers of both the Access Program + Institutional Success verticals with project management, internal process improvement and test taker and university advocacy
  • Lead communications for the Access Program community to improve documentation, test taker facing emails & FAQ’s + direct community support
  • Help organize decertification communication and processes for universities, monitor university sentiment + assist with a variety of university facing inititatives
  • Lead webinars + help manage communication streams
  • Serve as a liaison to a variety of other DET teams, including but not limited to: Growth Support, Customer Support, Test Taker Marketing, Proctoring & Engineering

You have…

  • At least 4 years of full-time experience working in operations, support, or project management fields – preferably with an international team
  • Demonstrated experience using project management/customer support tools such as Asana, Jira, and Zendesk
  • Meticulous organization and attention to detail with a passion for operational excellence
  • Excellent, proactive verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external audiences
  • A ‘self-starter’ attitude, work ethic, and resourcefulness to creatively solve problems
  • A passion for process-building, streamlining workflows + exceptional documentation skills
  • An acute self-awareness and empathy for our team members, universities and test takers
  • A passion for education, culture, and language
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack
  • Ability to work at least 35 hours a week
  • Availability during US East Coast business hours (EDT/EST timezone)

    Exceptional candidates have…

    • Experience with CRMs – especially Salesforce and Hubspot
    • Experience with low-income test takers and the organizations that support them
    • Experience working in an organization supporting international clients
    • Familiarity with Zoom, EventBrite + other hosting or event management platforms
    • Familiarity with the English language testing market

    Please note - this is a contract, fully remote position and is not intended to lead to full-time employment directly through Duolingo.

    The initial contract will last for a 90-day probationary period. Pay will be hourly (not fixed-rate or project-based).

    If you are based in the United States, the contract will be hosted via TCWGlobal. If you are based outside of the United States, the contract will be hosted via Upwork. Both pay on a weekly basis.
