Lead Business Process Owner – MTO Archetype

General Information

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Lead Business Process Owner for the MTO (Make to Order) Archetype. This role will report into the North America Business Process Manager. The Lead for MTO is responsible to work across all MTO factories to stabilize and harmonize processes. This role will have direct reports and will be responsible to drive process improvements. Business processes span Quotation through Warranty and include all common global and regional systems and applications utilized to execute the business process.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-5 BPOs across Canada, USA and Mexico in the MTO processes.
  • Support stabilization efforts within the factory to help end users learn how to use SAP S/4 Hana and communicate how to get support for issues.
  • Drive harmonization efforts by documenting & update business process and process maps to reflect the new processes in SAP S/4 Hana.
  • Work with factory BPOs to identify continuous improvement projects and manage the completion of the action plans.
  • Develop strategy and pipeline of continuous improvement projects for each factory.
  • Lead internal testing and coordinate the testing with business champions. Document / maintain standard work packages.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex problems, and develop and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence along with devising modifications and recommend ways to improve.
  • Document business enhancements, bring forth to discuss within BPO community.
  • Investigate and prioritize business requirements to define scope and objectives of the projects and prepare schedules, limitations, time, and desired results.
  • Provide communication & project updates to key stakeholders within MTO Archetype.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 10-15 years of experience.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada / US.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering a related field or 7 or more years of manufacturing experience Proven relationship-building and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be required to negotiate resolutions of controversial issues Demonstrated team orientation, motivation, and flexibility Able to travel to CA, USA, MX – 30 -50% travel required.
  • Ability to meet frequently for project updates and team meetings (onsite or virtually)
  • Additional Skill Sets – People Supervision or Management Requires broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, business processes, business tools and the flow of data Requires strong analytical skills, initiative, and ingenuity to solve complex problems and implement remedial measures
