Job description

The Business Solution Architect will lead the solutioning, development and implementation of comprehensive business solutions within Conduent’s Health & Welfare benefits, Defined Benefit (DB) retirement plans, and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) domains. This role requires deep expertise in these areas and the ability to align technology and operational solutions with business goals to drive client satisfaction, growth, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Solution Design: Develop and oversee tailored business solutions that address the complex needs of prospects and clients in the Health & Welfare, Defined Benefit retirement, and Pension Risk Transfer sectors.
  • Sales and Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales teams to support business development efforts, including sales pursuits, RFP responses, and support developing client presentations.
  • Profit & Loss Modeling: Lead the creation of client and solution-level profit and loss (P&L) models to guide pricing decisions and ensure financial viability and market competitiveness.
  • Technology partnership: Develop understanding of vendors and technology partners that contribute to the overall solution architecture.
  • Industry & Technology Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in the solution offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Finance, Product Management, Operations, and IT, to ensure seamless solution definition and modeling.
  • Specialized depth and breadth of expertise
  • Interprets internal and external business issues and recommends best practices
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • May lead functional teams or projects
  • Support client demos and partnership collaborations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture or product management within the Health & Welfare, Defined Benefit retirement plans, and/or Pension Risk Transfer sectors.
  • Solid understanding of benefits administration platforms, Pension Risk Transfer solutions, and retirement plan design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills, with experience in developing and managing complex business solutions.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with executives and stakeholders across multiple functional roles
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing Profit & Loss models and pricing recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in solution architecture, project management, or benefits administration (e.g., CEBS, PMP).
  • Prior experience with leading benefits administration or retirement plan administration firms.
  • Proficiency in software tools and platforms used in benefits administration and retirement plan management.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with a focus on business development and client relationship management.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $118,600-158,600.
