What's the role?
The Graduate Programme at Hilti GB is an inclusive and exciting 3.5-year scheme for people at the start of their professional career who want a structured approach to explore possibilities and discover their passions through first-hand experience. We have designed the Graduate Programme to give you an inspiring, engaging and rewarding start to your career. The opportunities for you to learn and grow are as extensive as our product range! You will rotate through a variety of stages, and we will empower you to leverage your strengths and work on new skills for today and the future.
You will start your Hilti journey with a diverse cohort of graduate colleagues so you can inspire and lean on each other as you discover who you are and what you want to do. You will continue to develop these relationships throughout your Hilti career and your mentor will also support you to grow and leverage your network. After a successful 18 months in a field-based sales account manager role, you will move into your chosen function to follow one of our graduate tracks where you will take on a 6-month project followed by a 12-18 month role. Upon successful completion of the Programme, you will be offered a permanent position and from there, the world is your oyster!

What does the role involve?
The Graduate Programme at Hilti GB starts with 18 months in a field-based account manager role in Sales. This will give you first-hand experience of our direct sales model and allow you to get to grips with our products, services and customers. You will have your own portfolio of customers to develop from very early on and the knowledge and experience you gain from your time in the field will set you up for a successful future at Hilti.
After 12 months with us, you will participate in a development centre to assess your strengths and understand your passions and future aspirations. We will then agree which track you will follow in the Graduate Programme and begin preparing you for the next steps in your career.
After you have completed 18 months as an account manager, you will take on a 6-month full-time project in your chosen track and then you will spend 12-18 months in a full-time position in the same function.
Upon successful completion of the Gradudate Programme, you will be offered a permanent position at Hilti and from there, the world is your oyster!
The rotations in the Graduate Programme can be summarised as:
- 18 months sales account manager role
- 6-month full-time project in functional track
- 12-18 months pre-landing position in functional track
The tracks in the Graduate Programme include:
- Engineering
- Sales Leadership
- Marketing
- Business & Operations (which includes HR, Finance, Logistics & After Market Service)

What do we offer?
If you are successful in securing a place in Hilti’s GB Graduate Programme, we will give you
a £1,000 sign-on bonus, on top of a base starting salary of £31,000. Your salary will increase annually, depending on your performance and company results.
In your first role as an account manager, you can earn a quarterly bonus, and you will be given a company vehicle which can also be used in personal time.

What you need is:
- You have graduated in the last 2 years, or you are preparing to graduate in 2025 – we will consider any discipline, and you will be assigned to a track based on your strengths and passions.
- You are a curious, highly adaptable and committed team player with excellent communication and social skills.
- You are willing to relocate for your initial Sales Account Manager role and again for your track roles, if required. We will do our best to place you in your preferred location.
- You are not afraid of a challenge and ready for accelerated development.
- You are excited about the prospect of rolling up your sleeves and being hands-on with Hilti’s latest product innovations.
- You have a full, clean, manual UK driving licence.

If you are then selected for the assessment centre, you will be invited to join us in person at our head office Manchester for a full day of exercises, interviews and networking. You will meet our senior leaders, and we will cover your travel expenses, including a hotel stay if required.
