Site Delivery Manager – 12 months FTC

We're thrilled to announce that Arqiva is hiring within the Water team! We are on the look out for an experienced end-to-end Site Delivery Manager (12 months FTC) with experience in the mobile telecoms space. In this role you will work across; acquisition, design and build, utilising and developing your project management skill within a fast paced growing market sector, and within a supportive, growth-orientated environment at Arqiva

Location We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to a local Arqiva office up to twice a week (Crawley Court Winchester, London, Huddersfield)

Accountabilities

  • Accountable as key interface for suppliers in the Utilities technical site delivery team
  • Support customer engagement, scoping, planning, and leading execution of site delivery
  • Collaborating with technical SMEs in aiding the delivery of new site builds
  • Site design approval authority whilst engaging with the product and architecture team to ensure design compliance
  • Use established delivery framework to drive, schedule and manage technical delivery as per implementation plan.
  • Define the scope, goals and deliverables for the rollout.
  • Define the tasks and resources required to deliver the roll out and produce a comprehensive plan establishing timelines, dependencies and critical paths
  • Identify and assign the team members required to deliver the plan (resource planning)
  • Manage the budget
  • Support customer relationships and interactions across the site roll out, providing regular progress reports and responding to customer feedback
  • Track progress against deliverables and report progress to all stakeholders
  • Use defined Arqiva processes to manage changes to project scope, risks, issues and overall project governance
  • Deliver an effective handover to the customer ensuring capability to maintain agreed standards of performance
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and ensure their standards of delivery, timeliness and documentation are aligned to requirements
  • Drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set
  • Bring a commercial perspective to the operation, with a particular focus on cash management, cash preservation and optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelors in an Engineering discipline / HND or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of relevant entry level project management qualification such as APM Project Management Fundamentals or Prince 2 Foundation or demonstrable experience.

Experience/Expertise

  • Must have end to end site delivery experience (Acquisition, Design and Build.
  • Ideally have experience in building new street works
  • Track record of leading a team of multi-disciplined areas in the delivery of site rollout
  • Ability to manage the allocation of resources to projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience of risk and change management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management lifecycles, project governance, methodologies/frameworks and processes.
  • Experience in site rollout delivery in Utilities, Cellular data communications or similar would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience in working with suppliers – both developing services/capabilities and driving 3rd parties to resolve and fix.

Technical / Professional Skillset(s)

  • Knowledge of technologies involved in Utility site rollout
