What You’ll Be Doing
You will be joining CIBC’s Infrastructure Technology team. As a Senior Consultant, Cloud Engineering you will bring experience specifically in working with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. This role is for you if you are passionate about building innovative solutions with new challenges and technologies while making an impact.
As a Senior Consultant, Cloud Engineering you will be responsible for providing technical recommendations and subject matter expertise to ensure stable, reliable production and non-production environments for complex sharing initiatives in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. In this role, you will collaborate with and act as an advisor to the senior management, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to analyze and protect production and non-production environment integrity and mitigate risks, present and recommend solutions using available resources for complex initiatives with key dependencies. You will provide technical leadership, interpreting complex information and coordinating client, provider, and vendor relationships to meet and manage service expectations, aligned to best practices. In addition, you will also participate in the development of the team to maximize individual contributions and professional growth, functioning effectively with colleagues.

How You’ll Succeed
Who You Are
You can demonstrate minimum 6+ years' experience in design, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions on Cloud platforms.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services, while additional experience in Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in Microsoft's Azure, ARM Templating, Azure DevOps Pipeline implementation of “infrastructure as code” deliveries, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), and monitoring/hardening/policing/templating/delivery of AWS and Azure Services will be essential.
Strong technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in AWS, multi-account Organizations, Control Tower, Cloud Formation implementation of “infrastructure as code”, as well as delivery of other AWS Services will be key to your success.
Proficiency with Python, Bicep, JSON and PowerShell scripting.
Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and network and security related solutions is required.
Proficient with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and have expertise in Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD).
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, terminologies and ceremonies.
Technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in Windows Server, Linux/Unix and Middleware tier.
Experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, AWS Security Groups and Network ACLs, Direct Connect, and other network and security components of AWS would be considered as assets.
Experience with Azure Firewalls, ExpressRoute & IPSec Tunnels, Virtual WAN, WAF, Network Security Groups (NSG) and other network and security components of Azure will be valuable.
Technical knowledge in Google Cloud Platform engineering and administration will be an asset.
AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP certifications, as well as ITIL certifications would be considered as assets.
You have strong knowledge of:
Systems Software Infrastructure - Knowledge of the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
Hardware Infrastructure - Familiarity with hardware technology and the global, regional and local hardware architecture.
Technical Troubleshooting - Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
Consulting - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques and roles and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients within and outside own area.
Computer Operations - Knowledge of the data center operating environment and day-to-day operational requirements.
