Our Lady of Mercy Life Center (OLOM) is located in the center of beautiful Guilderland at 2 Mercy Lane (near the library), an easy commute from all major highways. We provide both short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a supportive, resident focused environment. Guided by the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy, our team at OLOM believes each person has the right to care that emphasizes dignity, respect, and self-worth. We have a progressive team who embrace new ideas and technologies. Working on our subacute rehab unit, you can gain clinical experience to advance your nursing practice. Position Summary:
- Preparation of high-quality food items according to standardized recipes or instructions in an efficient manner in order to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery at times, using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Taste all food items prepared
- Must be able to follow HACCP for correct food handling and production.
- Participates in the coordination and supervision of food production and dining areas as assigned
- Properly stores foods in designated areas following all corporate, State, and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, administrators, and Managers.
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following correct procedures
- Adheres to SPHP's code of conduct
Minimum Requirements:
- Food service and customer service experience is preferred
- Culinary degree or accredited culinary course preferred
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read and write English on at a minimum 6th grade level

Pay Range: $16.70 - $20.36
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
