Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including physical, emotional, and psychosocial aspects.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Wound Care: Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures with precision and care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote optimal recovery.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including physicians, LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
