Title: SDE Program Leader, Governance and Data

Function: Supply Development Engineering

FSLA: Exempt

Position Overview: The Program Leader is a key member of the Supplier Engineering group, which is part of Insulet’s Operations organization.  Insulet manages a global supply base and sources precision components from around the world for use in its devices. The SDE team is responsible for all supplier projects with regards to safety, service, capacity, cost, supply strategy etc. (Definition of SDE is Supplier Development Engineering)

The Program Leader works closely with peers and leaders in Sourcing, Ops, Quality, and Manufacturing to drive governance of all SDE projects across the globe, drive financial rigor within the team, and educate and mentor all Project Managers and Project Engineers across all sites with regards to use of project management and governance tools. They will be responsible for building data views that are executive appropriate to drill through. This role will work closely with the Business Process team in Supply Management to ensure data and tools are aligned appropriately.

The ideal candidate has experience working with a variety of software and data management tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, Smartsheet, Microsoft family of products etc. They also will have led teams through project management and governance installations. Built tools to manage projects with a spend of $27M+ a year that includes financial and resource management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and implement a project management system that includes. feasibility, project, and financial governance.
  • Develop KPI’s and metrics associated with all SDE projects that are transparent and easily accessible through Power BI.
  • Lead all Project governance meetings to manage project intake and prioritization.
  • Drive financial rigor with governance mechanisms to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate with FP&A finance team to support CAPEX and OPEX financial operating rhythm.

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering/CS/Science Degree.Master’s degree a plus.
  • Training or on the job demonstrated (3 years) development of governance / PM systems and minimum 2 years Direct Project Management experience.
  • 8+ years of career experience in Operations, IT, Engineering, or related function.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience directly managing projects from feasibility through launch (type of project not specific).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capital and Project Financial acumen.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps, Power BI, Smartsheet, MS project, SAP.
  • Six Sigma Process Improvement Experience/Certification desirable.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 1x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid 

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $109,200.00 - $163,800.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
