Job Summary
As the ICS Quality Assurance Specialist, reporting directly to the ICS Program Manager. With experience and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems, you will support the delivery of global government programs, including those contracted under the United States DoD, DoS, and other strategic pursuits worldwide. This role is crucial in supporting the Global Readiness & Sustainment of the United States Military and it’s allies, ensuring that all products meet and exceed all stakeholder standards. Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of quality management programs, enhancing the customer experience by helping in the development and application of quality oversight techniques, training, statistical methods, assessments, and other tools.
- Coach, mentor, and develop an understanding of Quality systems across program team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Conduct audits and inspections, present recommendations to leadership, and drive corrective, preventive, and continuous improvement actions to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of performance evaluation and predictive techniques to improve the safety, reliability, and maintainability of products, systems, and services.
- Assist in the assessment and validation of program execution standards to ensure contractual compliance and verify that deliverables meet the required standards.
- Align the quality management function with product and service performance goals to deliver maximum customer value.
- Facilitate and resolve complex issues using business improvement methodologies and value-added practices.
- Apply problem-solving expertise to streamline and improve processes.
- As needed, guide and support less experienced team members at all program levels.
- Remote role with frequent travel to global program sites as needed and directed. Travel typically supports program transitions, backfilling vacancies, and supporting oversight and improvement initiatives at the direction of the program and Business Unit leadership.
- Creating and maintaining positive relationships while effectively engaging and collaborating the KBR PMOs.
- Collaborating to create, review and institute reports that reflect KBR performance for our customers.
- Attend and contribute to program tier meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Possess a passport book with at least 6 months of validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maintenance, Business, Quality Assurance, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a quality professional.
- 3+ years of experience related to ISO 9001 programs or operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity and experience in dealing with Government Contracts and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Experience in dealing with Government Contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management.
- Experience developing and implementing corrective and preventive action, audit, and continuous improvement programs.
- In-depth knowledge of quality and project management tools, concepts, and methodologies.
- Certification/s in Microsoft Excel.
