JOB PURPOSE:
The DCM Case Management Supervisor manages a team of Case Managers providing disaster case management services to individuals and families impacted by disasters. The Case Management Supervisor ensures staff are completing Needs Assessments, developing Service Plans and making appropriate community referrals for additional services. The Case Management Supervisor ensures staff maintains appropriate contact with the client, that quality services are provided and that their Service Plan is completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet regularly with Case Managers to staff caseloads and keep abreast of issues. Keep Case Managers informed of program, contract, and other related information.
- Ensures assigned team is trained, supported, and managed to meet program deliverables and outcomes.
- Supervise Case Managers to include:
- Interview, make quality hiring decisions, train and mentor in best practices, policies and procedures
- Monitor performance; document as necessary, provide ongoing feedback and timely evaluations
- Review case files, ensures all case documentation is legible, accurate and complete. This includes Individual Recovery Plans, background information, Service Plans, and case closures. This includes both physical and digital files via an online software system.
- Provide case guidance and assessment as needed to case managers.
- Meet regularly with Supervisor to review services, staff, and program. Provide on-going program evaluation and recommendations to their Supervisor and Program Manager for continuous growth and quality.
- Provide reports and status for all cases in their portfolio as needed by program demands.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development
- Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields.

High School diploma or GED is required with 4 years' experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience in child welfare, emergency disaster response and/or recovery environments to include working within multi-disciplinary teams to develop case plans with specified goals and outcomes is strongly preferred. 2 years in supervisory roles. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are also preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree: 4+ years’ prior experience in child welfare, emergency disaster response and/or recovery environments to include working within multi-disciplinary teams to develop case plans with specified goals and outcomes is strongly preferred. 2+ years in supervisory experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are also preferred.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record.
VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates and have access daily to reliable transportation. Must pass criminal background checks.
