We are looking for a driven and dedicated Senior Case Manager to join our team and work in managing Self Insurance Claims within our Government Services division. This is an exciting, diverse, and unique role and would suit someone who is keen to take their workers compensation career to the next level, with ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression.  You will be exposed to a diverse portfolio of workers compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions. You will work within a team who are located around the country and who provide support to our state-based branches and clients by managing claims from multiple states of risk.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of claims for clients.
  • Interpretation and application of various legislation and regulations
  • Assessment of injuries including reviewing medical reports and surgical requests
  • Assessment of damages and negotiation of settlements
  • Provision of instructions to legal counsel
  • Liaising with key external stakeholders including brokers, insureds, solicitors, doctors, and claimants
  • Utilising claims management systems
  • Developing strategies to progress matters towards resolution
  • Assisting in the retention of major clients by providing outstanding customer service

 

About you:

  • Experience in a claims management role within workers compensation.
  • You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a customer focused approach.
  • The ability to handle difficult situations and whilst resolving complex situations in a timely manner
  • You will be proactive with the drive to learn and develop skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt when changes occur.
