R2R Senior Specialist in Asset Management 

 

Purpose:

 

As an integral member of our team, you'll ensure the seamless execution of Asset Management accounting operations, aligning with both international and local financial standards. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Bayer’s standards while also being open to the flow of ideas and continuous improvement.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Execution of Asset Management accounting transactions for Bayer Legal Entities located in Europe with precision, ensuring adherence to process documentation and standards, particularly related to:
    • the non-current assets investment process;
    • creation and maintenance of asset master data;
    • the transfer, disposal and sale of assets;
    • closing and reporting activities;
    • physical inventory count;
    • handling of audit requests;
  • Conducting monthly, quarterly, yearly closing and reporting activities related to Asset Management as well as basic process-related trainings;
  • Serving as the go-to person and Company Responsible for operational topics within your legal entity, fostering a collaborative environment and driving mission-focused outcomes;
  • Upholding accounting standards and procedures, while also seeking ways to evolve and enhance processes within our DSO framework;
  • Collaborating across teams to address and resolve issues, leveraging peer accountability and a creative mindset to deliver value;
  • Contributing to process improvements, actively participating in a culture of continuous learning and adaptation; Providing support for your peers, embracing the flexibility and talent flow that DSO embodies;

 

Who you are:

  • A degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a related field;
  • A foundation in accounting principles and a desire to grow and take on new challenges within a dynamic system;
  • Good/ Advanced knowledge of General Accounting and  Asset Management Accounting according to IFRS;
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, dedication and accuracy;
  • Experience in conducting and preparing trainings;
  • Very good experience with SAP or other ERP systems;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly excel, power point;
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power automate is a plus;
  • Very good English language skills (minimum B2 level);
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to build sustainable stakeholder networks;
  • An organized, motivated and dedicated team player who is eager to learn, share knowledge, ready to embrace change and make fast decisions.
