Job description

Our client is a multimedia platform that empowers creators and communities to co-create immersive stories across various formats. They are on the lookout for a creative and skilled Art Editor to join their team. This role involves preparing web comic art assets for video transformation by using editing tools like Photoshop. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for comic composition, including framing, layering, and coloring, to enhance storytelling visually. Candidates with experience in digital art, design, or photo editing, who want to contribute their skills to multimedia video content, will find this opportunity rewarding.

Primary Responsibilities

Organize and edit web comic files for panel separation and layering using Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint.
Enhance panels by adding layers and dynamic elements, such as character and background separation.
Modify or redraw elements (e.g., speech bubbles, backgrounds) as needed.
Integrate or design new backgrounds, and apply light animation/motion graphics using After Effects/Runway.

Requirements

Creativity & Passion

Strong visual storytelling skills, with a solid understanding of effective visual framing to elevate storytelling.
Ideally, has a personal or professional interest in anime, manga, or Webtoons.

Technical Proficiency

Skilled in art/photo editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Clip Studio, Illustrator), with knowledge of motion graphics (After Effects, Runway) as a plus.

Team Collaboration

Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with technical and creative teams.
Communicates effectively in a dynamic, cooperative environment.

Efficiency & Adaptability

Self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
