Summary of Job Duties:
The Academic Systems Specialist serves as the UAMS functional lead for the Workday Student Recruitment and Admissions modules. The Academic Systems Specialist will identify and proactively facilitate all UAMS College Recruitment and Admissions system needs and collaborate with the technical lead to implement effective strategies to meet enrollment objectives. The Academic Systems Specialist will also train and support end users on the Recruitment and Admissions modules, prepare reports, and work with the Associate Provost for Students and Administration with Workday Student as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, education, social sciences, or related field plus five (5) years of experience in higher education recruitment or admissions or
High School diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of experience in higher education recruitment or admissions required.

Responsibilities:
Determines Workday Recruitment and Admissions business requirements in consultation with all colleges.
Assesses system capabilities and available technology and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
Develops viable system design alternatives and developments and comply with system standards.
Maintains functionality within the Recruitment and Admissions modules and serves as the primary bridge between functional users, technical users, and the UA System (Project One).
Conducts functional and end-to-end testing when changes are made.
Provides end-user training for Workday Student Recruitment and Admissions modules.
Responds to data inquiries and prepare status and administrative reports.
Collaborates with functional and technical specialists to establish business processes and policy proposals that support system objectives.
Serves as chair for Workday Student Recruitment and Admissions cross-campus team and functional lead for Workday Student Recruitment and Admissions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
