About the role:

Whalar’s Creative Strategist, EMEA plays a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative creator-first strategies for key clients and across new business pitches.

With a solid foundation in creative and social media strategy you will proactively contribute to our dynamic team, pushing creative boundaries on some of the world’s most exciting brands, reporting to the EMEA Director of Creative Strategy. 

This role is an opportunity to be part of the team leading the future of creator-first creative strategy. 

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day: 
  • Develop creative, culturally relevant, and insight-driven creator-first strategies that are rooted in storytelling
  • Work across key accounts and support in new business pitches to deliver best in class creator-led, social programs and campaign concepts
  • Take the lead in developing and facilitating client workshops to build creator strategies in partnership with brand teams
  • Continually inspire our clients with creative and strategic guidance, collaborating closely with Client Business Leads to identify creative strategy upsell opportunities and enhance existing relationships
  • Identify and develop community and creator strategies in collaboration with Research & Insight, Community and Client Service stakeholders
  • Lead productive and inspiring brainstorms and ideation sessions both internally and externally
  • Use measured campaign outcomes to continually inform and refine future strategies and ideas
  • Integrate emerging content trends, platform algorithm changes and technologies into creative strategy output and within broader proactive thought leadership
  • Own and manage response timelines for yourself and supporting teams to ensure brief responses are delivered in a timely manner with supporting pitch theater
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Paid Media, Measurement & Analytics, Community, and Client Services to ensure our creative strategic visions come to life throughout the execution process
Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in creative, social media, and content strategy, with demonstrated experience working with top tier brands 
  • Ideally will have experience developing creator campaigns
  • A genuine passion for the creator economy and being a part of future development
  • Fluency in social media platforms and their unique dynamics, including extensive knowledge of user behaviors and platform best practices
  • Meticulous, culturally rooted creative thinker and practitioner with an eye for upcoming trends
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Data-fluency, strong analytical skills; comfortable transforming sets of data into actionable insights
  • Experienced at pitching, and confident when presenting to clients and team members
  • You thrive in an environment where collaboration, flexibility and agility are valued
