Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst, Operations Finance

Department: Finance

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Irvine, CA (onsite/hybrid)

Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities for this role include partnering with the Irvine Plant and Insulet Engineering business leaders to maximize value within our manufacturing processes, preparing and reviewing monthly management reports, department forecast and budgets, variance trend analysis for KPIs as well as preparation and support for monthly accounting entries. The position reports to the Manager of FP&A, Global Operations. As Insulet is in hypergrowth mode, the nature of this role’s responsibilities will evolve over time.

Plant responsibilities include:

· Business partner with Operations teams to help support financial implications of new and ongoing projects (including capital projects). Thought partner to Plant Director and Engineering VP.

· Assist in preparation of the Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and Forecasts.

· Preparation of monthly financial reporting package which includes insightful analysis of variances and trends of key performance indicators required to drive plant performance. Other responsibilities may include: headcount planning as well as inventory tracking and analysis.

· Variance analysis on Actual Results vs. Forecast and Annual Operating Plan.

· Review monthly open invoices and accruals, investigate journal entries as needed.

· Alignment with accounting organization on treatment of new projects and activities in operations

· Recommend and implement processes to streamline and continuously improve our current management reporting/analytics to appropriately raise awareness and drive corrective actions

· Identify and implement processes ideal for workflow automation to automate various aspects of month end reporting

· Ad hoc requests, including scenario planning, inventory and cost analysis etc.

· Project finance manager for new investments and processes as delegated.

Corporate responsibilities include:

· Assist in preparation and consolidation of the organization’s strategic plan, global annual operating plan, forecasts and monthly reporting for assigned operations departments.

· Business partner with the Production Director and Engineering VP to provide insights and drive visibility with analyzing variances and trends of key performance indicators.

· Capex management/proformas/coordination for operations departments.

· Assigned monitoring and financial tracking of savings and costs related to operations projects and initiatives.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountancy or equivalent business experience

· Proficiency with SAP and SAC preferred

· High proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office Software, especially Excel

· Minimum of 5 years related business experience

Skills/Competencies:

· Excellent communication and analytical skills

· Continuous improvement / Lean orientation and skills

· Familiarity with manufacturing operations and inventory preferred

· Deadline oriented with attention to detail

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to handle multiple projects

· Team player

*Must be able to go on site 2-3 days a week

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $88,220.00 - $132,605.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
