Summary of the position:
As the Business Process Manager, the candidate will assess and implement optimized organizational processes to improve overall performance within product management and cross functional teams. They create a business operating system and archive for templates and examples of processes and procedures. They will monitor, assess, and manage processes to ensure the processes help the business achieve and exceed its goals. This involves designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and controlling business processes. The business process manager will look to introduce innovative, new practices into business processes to help the business progress to create efficient and effective work outcomes, increase profits and support the organization in achieving its goals.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Create a business operating system archive and collaborate on processes, procedures, templates, and examples.
- Project plan creation including, but not limited to, reasons for change, definition of change, resources needed, and establishment of teams and timelines.
- Monitor, assess, and provide feedback and recommendations, and develop business process improvements.
- Create planning, budgeting, and resource allocations for process improvement projects
- Oversee and manage project teams associated with process improvement projects
- Deliver training materials, support documentation, and support to ensure business process improvements are rolled out effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct analysis and evaluation to drive continuous improvement activities to ensure processes are structured, followed, and supported.
- Develop progress and feedback reports as well as dashboards to monitor activities and performance improvements
- Coordinate and align with teams such as quality to ensure review and additions are made into the quality management system
- Communication within cross functional teams and stakeholders on process needs, improvements and development
- Development of a single location or repository of templates and process documentation for product management work.
- Assessment and optimization of processes by eliminating manual and/or redundant processes.
- Assessment and review of current state to improved, future state for business processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Equivalent
- MBA, a plus
Professional experience:
- 5 + years business process experience managing diverse B2B product and service projects required
- Proven experience in global business process improvements in an industrial, manufacturing, automation / robotic manufacturing environment required
- Leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to drive business process optimization and achieve improvement goals
- Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and adopting changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to work in matrix organizational structure
- Travel: approximately 15+% globally
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- LEAN / Six Sigma Certified and / or Project Management Professional Certification beneficial
- Smartsheet experience and knowledge
- Experience with new product development process and / or stage-gate development process
- Product management tools and methodologies
