Overview:
HOUSTON, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED): The sweetest family in Clear Lake is seeking a dedicated and proactive FULL-TIME NANNY/EDUCATOR to join them in nurturing and educating their 3-year-old daughter and 4-month-old son. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with young children in a supportive and engaging environment that encourages creativity, learning and independence. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, balancing structured learning with free play to foster curiosity and confidence. The family values a respectful approach where the children are spoken to on their level without being “talked down to” or “babied.” Both parents work from home and are excited to collaborate with the nanny to support their children’s growth and development.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00/8:30 am to 4:00/4:30 pm, with some flexibility, starting in early January 2025. The family offers a competitive pay rate of $25–$30 per hour, flexible for the right candidate, along with benefits including paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and a health insurance stipend included in total compensation. Out-of-state candidates and relocation will be considered for the perfect fit. While this is a live-out position, the family is open to discussing options for the ideal candidate. Nanny must have their own vehicle to use while on the job, although minimal driving is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Responsibilities include full childcare, preparing nutritious meals for the children (and ideally for the family as well), children’s laundry, and light housekeeping related to the children. The family’s 3-year-old daughter currently attends a part-time Montessori program from 8:30am-3:30pm, just one minute from the family home. The family seeks a warm, energetic, and positive individual who is passionate about early childhood education and creating meaningful connections. A cat is also part of the household.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a genuine and driven individual who loves children, values a Montessori-inspired approach, and is ready to make a lasting impact on a family’s life. If you are a positive role model with a true passion for education and child development, this role could be a wonderful fit.
