Job description

Job Title: Inside Sales Support Specialist

Salary: CAD65-70,000 plus 15% variable

Level: 5

Team: Climate Services

Reporting to: Sales Administration Manager, Climate Services

Closing Date: 25th November

Purpose

Climate Bonds has a set of compelling services that haven’t had as much uptake despite their opportunity. Climate Bonds also has a lot of staff across the globe who are well placed to represent these services but need a support specialist to present to them, and to manage the sales processes.

Thus, the purpose of this role is to enable market facing staff at Climate Bonds by organising and preparing sales materials, proposals and contracts, and guiding sales to improve the velocity and success of sales.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sustainability, proficient with software tools, highly organized, attentive to customer needs, and interested in a fully remote position in sustainable finance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize and make available sales materials, proposals, templates and other materials needed by the sales force to prospect, pitch, negotiate and close deals.
  • Under the guidance of the Manager, work with the Product and Marketing teams to enhance the marketability of our services by improving our materials, incorporating feedback from the salesforce, and qualifying opportunities.
  • Under guidance of Manager, work with support teams, finance, legal, operations, to improve the sales process, reducing time-to-close and improving sales-per-person.
  • Work with Client Management Support Team to assure that sales Leads are transferred seamlessly to the delivery teams to improve efficiencies and successful delivery of services, measured by Client Satisfaction metrics (CSat) and NPS.
  • Supervise sales opportunities to assure that sales are being effectively managed by the Opportunity Owner, intervene where needed and pull in support for sales that are not progressing.  
  • Assure that CRM and other systems are properly documented, maintaining accurate records regarding members, member benefits, accounts, client interactions, client communications and finalised contracts.
  • Support the team in manging shared inboxes and inbound inquiries and routing them to the right person.
  • Assist in the development of prospect lists and campaigns, and with guidance from manager assign leads or opportunities to the best person to manage.

Requirements

Essential:

  • 3 years of business administration experience
  • 3 years of Inside Sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations and build long-term client relationships.
  • Strong client servicing and strong commercial skills.
  • Genuine interest in sustainable finance and Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the role
  • 5 years of b2b experience
  • 3+ years of sales support experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across product and sales teams
  • Additional business languages a bonus
