The Director Leadership Effectiveness is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive leadershipdevelopment strategies that foster the growth and effectiveness of our leaders. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of leadership development principles, exceptional program design skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
What you’ll be doing
- Manages and carries out the personnel actions for direct reports, including but not limited to hiring and scheduling; training and evaluating; coaching and managing performance; making salary, merit, or other compensation recommendations for team of direct reports; and making recommendations and/or taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Leadership Effectiveness: Drive leadership effectiveness by implementing strategies to enhance leadership capabilities and optimize processes (e.g., performance management, talent reviews, succession planning) in a remote work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders and People Business Partners to understand leadership development needs and align programs accordingly. Build strong relationships with them to ensure ongoing support and endorsement of leadership development initiatives.
- Leadership Development Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic leadership development roadmap that aligns with HealthEquity’s business objectives and unique culture. Define the key competencies, skills, and traits required for leadership success, both for today and our future evolution.
- Custom Leadership Program Design: Design and develop custom leadership development programs tailored to HealthEquity’s specific needs. Utilize a range of methodologies, including blended learning, experiential learning, coaching, and action-learning projects, to create impactful and engaging learning experiences.
- Program Facilitation: Facilitate leadership development programs, workshops, and training sessions to cultivate leadership capabilities across all levels of the organization. Provide insightful guidance, coaching, and feedback to participants to enhance their leadership effectiveness.
- Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis: Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify skill gaps and development opportunities among current and future leaders. Collaborate with senior leaders to gather input and develop plans to develop their leaders.
- Evaluation and Measurement: Gather feedback, assess participant performance, and review data to measure the impact and effectiveness of leadership development programs and continuously improve program outcomes.
- Research and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in leadership development. Continuously research and integrate innovative approaches and tools to enhance the impact and effectiveness of our leadership development initiatives.
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent years of experience.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in designing and delivering custom leadership development programs within a corporate setting, preferably in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated experience in program design and facilitation, utilizing a range of learning methodologies and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of leadership development principles, adult learning theories, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Experience in conducting needs assessments, gap analyses, and program evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in leadership assessment tools and frameworks.

Salary Range:
$133000.00 To $165000.00 / year

The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range in addition to a full range of benefits including:
