Litigation Fee Earner / Solicitor - Manchester-Hybrid role

Our client is a dynamic and growing law firm specializing in Housing Disrepair . We pride ourselves on delivering excellent legal services and client care. We are looking for an experienced Litigation Fee Earner or Solicitor with a strong background in managing a full caseload independently.

**Role Overview**:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Litigation Fee Earner or Solicitor with **at least 12 months of experience** in handling and managing a full caseload from inception to conclusion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our litigation team and contribute to a diverse range of cases. Please note that we are **not considering paralegal applicants** for this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Manage a full caseload independently**, handling cases from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.

- **Draft and review legal documents** including claim forms, particulars of claim, defense statements, witness statements, and settlement agreements.

- **Conduct legal research** and apply relevant laws and regulations to cases.

- **Communicate directly with clients**, providing clear advice, updates, and managing their expectations throughout the legal process.

- **Negotiate settlements** with opposing parties and represent clients effectively in pre-trial negotiations.

- **Prepare cases for court**, including compiling trial bundles, liaising with barristers, and instructing expert witnesses as needed.

- **Attend court hearings** and advocate on behalf of clients where appropriate.

- Utilize case management systems (e.g., Proclaim, LexisNexis, Phoenix) to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all case activity.

- **Monitor deadlines** and ensure compliance with court requirements and timelines.

 **Key Requirements**:

- **Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive**, or an experienced Fee Earner with a minimum of **12 months of proven experience** in managing a full litigation caseload.

- Strong knowledge of **civil litigation procedures** and relevant legal frameworks.

- Proven experience in handling cases related to Housing Disrepair

- Exceptional **written and verbal communication skills**, with a client-focused approach.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

- Proficiency in using **legal case management systems** and legal research tools.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

 **Desirable Skills**:

- Advocacy experience, including representing clients in court hearings.

- Experience in specific litigation areas such as Housing Disrepair.

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
