Specialist Linux RED HAT - European Institution Full Remote

Would you like to pursue your career in Public Institutions?

We are currently looking for a Specialist Linux RED HAT to join our growing client in Lisbon.

Goal:

In general lines, what we need is an expert on Linux OSS that can analyze our website infrastructure and propose optimizations and other configuration changes.
We also need the migration of a specific software to a much newer version. The servers (running RHEL 8) and services under the scope are the infrastructure for our websites.

Project :

* Optimization of several Apache HTTPD used as reverse proxies, for speed but also for resilience with DDoS attacks and AI Bots;

* Optimization of the Apache HTTPD used on the Drupal server, the PHP 8 installation and caching mechanisms;

* Optimization of the MariaDB databased used by the Drupal 10 servers to support more load and be faster;

* Migration of Piwik 2.16.3 (on a deprecated bitnami based on Ubuntu) to the latest Matomo (on RHEL 8), migrating existing data with the least disruption possible to the live services;

* VM sizing changes (CPUs and RAM) for each server in the architecture;

* Other change proposals on architecture or configurations to ensure better performance and resilience.

Profile:

Master Degree and professional experience in the field of at least 4 years. Or Bachelor Degree and 8 years of experience.
Hands-on experience with Apache
Working Drupal server experience
Experience with MariaDB
Fluency in English.
