Job description

We are seeking an experienced product management professional to join our Billing Product Management team to help achieve business goals. In this role, you will work with customers, sales, and a global product and development team spanning P&C insurance domain experts, UX design, engineering, product marketing, alliances, and other cross-functional teams to own and drive the definition of roadmap features. Including identifying market and customer needs and priorities, defining requirements, and helping to drive successful adoption by Guidewire customers.

You will also be responsible for understanding the Billing business, including understanding market opportunities and sales pipeline and ensuring internal and external enablement and education of Billing products and features for further adoption.  You will also work with our alliances team to understand Insurtech and partner offerings that can further the policy and underwriting roadmap and vision.

  • Drive the Billing roadmap, owning strategy and execution for key features.
  • Champion customer-focused, market-driven thinking across the Billing team to align products with business needs, driving customer success and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering to creatively innovate, build, and launch products that inspire and challenge the team.
  • Develop and deliver impactful educational programs for customers, partners, and Guidewire Professional Services, ensuring effective use of new Billing products and features.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to articulate and evangelize the business value of the Billing product vision and strategy, while enabling Field/Partner success.
  • Align with Finance and Sales Leadership to track pipeline and achieve quarterly sales targets for Billing products.
  • Evangelize Guidewire’s strategy and vision to internal and external stakeholders, including management, industry analysts, customers, prospects, and partners.

  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive product management experience in a commercial enterprise software company.
  • Experience in building or managing billing solutions or similar products within InsurTech, FinTech, General Ledger or Sub-Ledger or P&C Insurance domains (preferred).
  • Proficiency in driving discovery processes, including data capture, analysis, hypothesis formation, and testing.
  • Experience with cloud-native business applications and a strong interest in leveraging new technologies like Cloud, AI, and ML to achieve business goals.
  • Proven ability to inspire, empower, and lead cross-functional teams, with a low-ego approach that prioritizes the success of the team, business, and customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present them clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior executives.
