The Position:

The Central Procurement Specialist will adhere to the procedures of centralized procurement and the related purchasing initiatives. Assists in defining the goals and priorities for centralized drug and supply procurement company wide. Works with internal as well as external customers to meet supply needs. Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain centralized procurement strategies to ensure inventory remains in range set by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Identify opportunities for savings by maximizing centralized model.
  • Purchasing of pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with team members in the supply chain and inventory management departments.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal customers within the hubs and local fulfillment centers.
  • Manage allocations when required.
  • Collaborate with data analysts on projects.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Schedule:


  • Must be able to work Full-time, 40 hours per week 8:30am-5pm
  • Must live in the following areas: Columbus, OH, Phoenix, AZ, St. Louis, MO, or Frisco, TX
  • Must have experience with Central Procurement, purchasing and planning- Prefer Pharmaceutical/Specialty Pharmacy experience.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years procurement experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive changes for clarity and efficiencies.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, work well in team environment and able to work in diverse environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing through presentation and individual discussions with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
