We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect Team to exceed our customers' expectations. The successful candidate will split their time between managing and mentoring team members and working directly with our utility customers to implement cutting-edge enterprise applications.
As Solution Architect Team Lead, you will be crucial in working with clients, managing people and contributing to best practice. In this role your time will be split between working as a Solution Architect, completing people management activities and working with the other Team Leads to help define implementation best practices.
People Management: Define goals and objectives for direct reports that align with the overall strategic direction provided by the Implementation ManagerPerform regular 1:1 meetings with staff to monitor performance and goalsProvide timely feedback to team members and management on staff performanceConduct regular team meetings to discuss progress on Goals and Objectives and discuss challenges and strategies for improvementEnforce quality control processes and perform regular audits to ensure following best practices and quality of workWork with the implementation manager and other team leads to develop, update, and maintain documentation on best practicesEnsure people are delivering as required to meet utilization targets; Work with Project Managers, Service Delivery Management to ensure resources and tasks are assigned to the appropriate resources to ensure project milestones are met.Implementation: Conduct and supervise Discovery (Analysis) sessionsOversee and approve the Discovery ReportConduct and document Business Process reviewsReview and provide feedback on all Business Process Design documentsLead and document Integration Design sessionsCreate and maintain process flowsCreate and maintain best practices documents for system configuration and testingProvide input on training and testing materialsOversee and assist with system configurationResponsible for the overall quality of the implementation, completing regular audits and quality checks, and ensuring best practices are followedConduct Data Mapping exercisesWork with SpryPoint Clients to match best practices with future state business requirementsDocumentation: Support the creation and maintenance of best practices documents for system configuration, testing, and overall system designCreate reports for Business Process ReviewsDocument Integration and Enhancement Design requestsProvide input on training and testing materialsAssist in the creation of customer-specific training documentsDocument issues encountered during the testing and acceptance phases Maintain project-related documentation including issues logs, configuration guides and test casesQualifications:3+ years of experience implementing enterprise utility software, specifically with utility Customer Information Systems (CIS).Experience with Mobile Field and Workforce Management (MFM & MWM), Work Order & Asset Management (WAMS) and Customer Engagement Portal experience is an assetExperience analyzing large data sets is an assetAbility to map processes and have worked in a large process mapping projectProven ability to create clear, complete documentation Strong understanding of relational databases & SQL in particularExperience working with Reporting & Business Intelligence PlatformsInterest in expanding knowledge and applying knowledge to solve industry problemsCompetencies:Proven ability to mentor, lead and provide feedback to direct reportsEffectively prioritize and execute tasks in what can be a high-pressure environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to present information clearly and conciselyEnthusiastic approach to learning new skills and open-minded to changeProven interpersonal skills, the ability to build and strengthen relationships, and the ability to foster cooperation with numerous stakeholders including senior management, clients and business partnersConfidence to work independently and interpersonal skills to work as a member of internal and external teamsStrong analytical problem-solving skills with an emphasis on making decisions quickly and effectivelyComprehensive understanding of implementation methodologies of complex software implementationsUnderstanding of organizational change management and the challenges associated with enterprise-level software implementationsDeep understanding of utility industries - electric, water, wastewater, gas, telecommunications, sanitation, and othersWhy SpryPoint?
