Description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent to join our team. 



The Purchasing Agent assists field staff in procuring necessary medical, dental and office supplies, services, and equipment in order to provide quality care to Centurion’s patients in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties:
•    Negotiating pricing and contract language with vendors for the provision of medical, dental, and office supplies, equipment, and related services
•    Acting as a resource to healthcare staff in the field to identify the most cost-effective sources and products to meet their need
•    Performing utilization and costs analyses in order to monitor costs and make product and vendor recommendations
•    Developing and maintaining tracking mechanisms for rented equipment
•    Making buy versus rent decisions
•    Assisting vendors and field staff with issues related to vendor invoices, including working with the Accounts Payable Team
•    Reviewing reports and invoices to ensure invoices include correct rates
•    Working with vendors to set up accounts, obtain reporting, fix operational issues, and amend contracts
•    Processing purchase orders and ensuring proper procedures are followed and approvals obtained

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field required; equivalent experience will be considered
•    Minimum of three (3) years of purchasing experience
•    Experience in the medical field with contract negotiation skill preferred
•    Ability to multi-task
•    Good written and verbal communication, strong analytical skills, and great attention to detail
