Deputy Program Manager

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

We leverage industry best practices and business innovations to provide measurable results. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Deputy Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Technology Research and Development (ATR) Branch. This position involves managing various research projects aimed at improving operational safety and integrity at airports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management Support: Provide comprehensive program management support to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely performance of all tasks outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Project Management Plan: Develop and maintain a detailed Project Management Plan (PMP) that includes schedules, deliverables, staffing plans, and resource allocations.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and deliver Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) and Monthly Financial Reports (MFRs) documenting activities, expenditures, and progress.
  • Program Management Review: Conduct quarterly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with the Program Office and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Transition Management: Lead Transition-In and Transition-Out activities to ensure smooth transitions between task orders.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with FAA goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and team members to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project management, with a focus on technical projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and reports.
    • Experience in federal contracting and compliance is a plus.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
