POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resident Systems Engineer will act as the technical interface between our various North America based off-road equipment customers to Stoneridge’s engineering and production teams to drive on-quality, on-time deliverables. In this role, customers will contact you first in case of issues where you will lead the effort to both root cause and drive corrective actions, where needed. As new businesses arise with these customers, it is expected that you will work with the external customer to understand key requirements and use cases for customer needs while working with internal engineering teams to provide optimized system solutions. Products to be supported include cameras, radars, ultrasonics, video recorders, telematics devices and much more. As the face to the customer significant travel will be required as the face to various customers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong working relationships with North America based offroad equipment customers to ensure prompt support throughout current and future business opportunities
  • Project planning, resource allocation/needs and scheduling to meet deliverables
  • Define, measure and track project metrics and report to leadership on a regular basis for each customer
  • Act as voice-of-the-customer (VoC) to report current issues, opportunities and future needs
  • Identification of use cases and requirements expected based on customer and stakeholder input
  • Working with customers to root cause and drive corrective actions within production projects spanning quality/warranty issues that arise
  • Reaching across product lines such as: camera, radar, ultrasonic, video recorders, telematics and many more product lines to analyze optimized solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in systems engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, aerospace, biomedical, or related field required
  • Nice to have: INCOSE A/C/SEP certification and/or PMP certification
  • Customer-facing project management/leadership experience for automotive advanced development and/or production programs
  • Good knowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO26262) and ASPICE standards
  • Knowledge of ADAS feature-sets such as: object detection, sensor fusion, volume estimation, trajectory prediction
  • Experience working with cameras (LVDS/Ethernet), radar, ultrasonic, video recorders, domain controllers and telematic devices
  • Experience working with requirements management tools (Polarion/DOORs NG)
  • Experience working across engineering disciplines to drive robust system solutions
