Internship Program Summary:

During the internship, you will be able to complete critical real world work along with multiple internal Iron Mountain teams while contributing to our digital growth aspirations.  You will also experience:

We currently have an opportunity for a UX Intern to assume responsibility for building innovative digital solutions for our global customer base. The intern will work closely with customers to understand goals and needs to create documented concepts and prototypes, for both large and small projects.

If successful you will work closely with cutting edge UI developers, visual designers, usability, accessibility, and QA practitioners to help revamp the user experience for Iron Mountain’s main critical customer facing applications. The UX you design will be leveraged by virtually all applications at Iron Mountain.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 70% Wireframing (Figma)

  • 10% User Research (Contextual Inquiry)

  • 10% Usability Testing (UserZoom) 

  • 10% Accessibility Specifications/Testing)

Education Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expectation that degree will be obtained between December 2025-  July 2026

  • Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the internship

  • Pursuing a degree in HCI, design, UX or related field of study

Requirements:

  • Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the continental United States for the duration of the program

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future)

  • This is a 40 hour per week assignment, lasting 12 weeks with the expected start date being May 21, 2025 and ending on August 13th, 2025

Skills:

  • User experience design and testing for web and digital properties, particularly on larger instances in a commercial environment 

  • Experience with contextual inquiries (user interviews, affinity modeling) and usability testing

  • Experience leading project/product design efforts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with team, and leadership

  • Proficiency creating highly interactive prototypes (preferably Figma)

  • Attention to detail
