Job Title Capital Project Manager
Division Weir ESCO
Location Portland/OR
Remote or Hybrid


Purpose of Role:

Support the ESCO Weir Group through effective project management of global capital orders and improve the speed and on time delivery of the buckets and truck bodies.  The ideal candidate has successfully coordinated projects involving cross functional teams making sure we deliver the products on the promise date. This person must be a self-starter, a champion for the team, and passionate about delivering quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capital Product Management: project management of global capital orders and improve the speed and on time delivery of the buckets and truck bodies

  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with team leads and leverage past project learnings to improve the capital build process. Lead post-implementation (playback) reviews and continuous improvement feedback sessions

  • Communication: Provide regular communications to businesses, stakeholders and Weir ESCO executive team. Includes timely submission of monthly reports and ‘as required’ reports on the progress and issues relating to the projects

  • Cross functional Relationship: Work closely with the Weir ESCO engineering department as well as other business functions to ensure alignment and on time delivery of high-quality products to market

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a project management role

  • Cross-functional team experience

  • Ability to provide solid customer service and exercise diplomacy

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business

  • A committed and proactive attitude towards Environment, Health and Safety

  • Creativity and innovative thinking regarding solving project related problems
