TITLE: Senior Revenue Analyst 

The Senior Revenue Analyst performs daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks to ensure appropriate revenue recognition and works closely with the Manager, Revenue Accounting, as well as other members of both the Revenue team and the larger Finance department, in the performance of those tasks. Major responsibilities of the Senior Revenue Analyst include contract and revenue schedule analysis and setup, completion of monthly reconciliations, and participation in ongoing revenue automation efforts. 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Perform revenue-related month-end closing activities. 

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and detailed analysis for revenue accounts. 

  • Calculate and book monthly accruals (SLA, NIPR, ISO) and various reclasses as needed. 

  • Analyze monthly revenue activity and complete month-over-month Software revenue analysis. 

  • Assist in completion of the monthly Revenue close reporting package. 

  • Manage setup and review of all Software and Services contracts. 

  • Maintain Finance Wins tracker and ensure all contracts have revenue and billing schedules. 

  • Review all Salesforce opportunities closed during the month for sale date, DCM% and prime considerations. 

  • Calculate applicable CPI indexing for Software contracts and increase Workday customer contract values accordingly. 

  • Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue treatment in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards. 

  • Review contracts for non-standard terms, multiple elements, and appropriate revenue recognition. 

  • Work closely with other Finance team members and cross-functional departments such as Sales, FP&A, and Professional Services. 

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as necessary to support other business functions. 

  • Aid in ongoing and future projects (pricing model changes, revenue automation, integrations). 

  • Assist with monthly KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. 

 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:   

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 

  • 3+ years work experience in Finance/Accounting. 

  • Experience with large ERP systems (such as Workday and Salesforce). 

 

PREFERRED: 

  • Degree preferred to be in accounting/finance. 

  • Experience with ASC 606. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Advanced Excel knowledge. 

  • Willing to learn or have experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 guidelines. 

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage incoming deliverables. 

  • Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment.

  • Location: Remote United States
