About PRES
The Pacific Recovery Economic Support (PRES) program is a DFAT funded program which was established in 2021 to respond to the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Pacific.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic re-shaped Australia’s engagement in the Pacific creating new challenges, and new demands. The PRES program makes technical expertise and support readily available to improve the effectiveness of DFAT’s economic response and recovery investments in the Pacific.
PRES acts as an operational hub, identifying emerging advisory support needs, recommending solutions, undertaking recruitment processes, and providing induction and oversight to advisers. The PRES program supports the development of strategy, design and evaluation of aid activities in sectors including:
Position Summary
The Advisory Services Coordinator (ASC) is a key role in the PRES Core Team and will support the management of PRES activities. The ASC will work closely with the PRES Core Team, DFAT-Office of the Pacific (OTP), and PRES technical advisors to ensure that PRES activities are implemented effectively and efficiently.
As a key member of the PRES team, the ASC will have strong management and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. The ASC will be an excellent communicator, capable of expressing the program’s vision and desired outcomes through a range of formats and with a variety of stakeholders. The ASC will be willing to travel regularly to Canberra as required.

Commitment: the ASC will be contracted on a full-time (open to part-time) basis and is expected to fill the role for the remainder of the PRES program.
