Job description

Position Summary

IEM is looking for a Full Time- Project Scheduler , the primary purpose of the position is to perform scheduling activities for all Client capital projects. This position works closely with Project Managers on the compilation, assessment and documentation of project schedules and monitoring tracking and reporting required at various stages of the project. This position will perform workload analysis and resource forecasts; monitor and evaluate historical trending and organizational performance through the development of reports.

Primary Location:

  • Candidate must live a commutable distance to Guaynabo and Santurce, PR
  • This is an in-office role and candidates must be willing to commute to the office.

Travel Requirements

  • This position will require work to be conducted onsite and may require work on weekends or in excess of 40 hours per week. Travel and other expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • All interested candidates must be willing to work on site for the duration of each disaster assignment. Assignments typically may last up to 12 months with potential for extension.

Essential Functions

  • Identifying internal and industry best practices for scheduling and applying to internal standards consistently within the workgroup.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with Industry standard and of best project practice and internal standards.
  • Acts as a mainline point of contact for the work management project team. to Assist in identifying issues/risk within schedules and work plans, monitor quality assurance of the schedules ing practices and completed schedules, monitoring of deliverables and corrective actions, and provide continuous team support.
  • Monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
  • Reviewing, adjusting and provide schedules produced as per assigned projects.
  • Analyze internal project schedules to identify trends in scheduling forecasts and propose application changes within the tool to support expenditure and project trends identified.
  • Evaluate and monitor the quality process and key performance indicators within their area of responsibility, assuring every aspect of their work and services meet or exceed the stakeholders, customer expectations and are consistent with the quality goals of the Company.
  • Responsible to analyze schedules, workload, and resource forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to standard policies, programs, processes and scheduling protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.

Current Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Projects/P6 to provide what-if scenarios, schedule forecasts, milestone reports, status updates, critical path setting, critical path schedules, free and total float analysis, progress curves is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in resource loading, a schedule to provide baselines and progress curves.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, MS Projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize a variety of independent assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Two (2) years of scheduling experience related to Regulated Utilities or EPC Environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Task durations, work estimation, MS Projects/ Primavera P6, Smartsheet's and other scheduling software.
