Job description

We are looking for a hands-on PeopleSoft Analyst to support a state agency in Missouri by combining business analysis with data analysis expertise. This role involves working directly with PeopleSoft applications to optimize processes, streamline data workflows, and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong background in PeopleSoft, excels in data analysis, and can collaborate effectively with both technical teams and stakeholders.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical solutions within PeopleSoft.
  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends and insights within PeopleSoft data.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across PeopleSoft modules such as HCM and Financials.
  • Provide hands-on PeopleSoft support, troubleshooting issues, configuring settings, and tailoring functionalities to meet agency needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, conducting gap analysis and recommending data-driven solutions.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively communicate findings and insights.
  • Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to uphold data integrity and ensure system reliability.
  • Train and support end-users on PeopleSoft functions, data access, and reporting tools, ensuring effective utilization of system capabilities.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a PeopleSoft Analyst role with hands-on PeopleSoft experience, ideally in the public sector or state agencies.
  • Strong proficiency in PeopleSoft applications, particularly in HCM and Financials.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar languages for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
