Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN to join our compassionate healthcare team at Compass Health Network. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering strong, professional relationships with our patients, their families, and our medical staff. Your contributions will directly support our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring a comfortable experience
  • Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in the patient chart
  • Organize and maintain exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Perform procedures including venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs as directed
  • Administer immunizations and injections, as well as manage patient prescription documentation
  • Provide education and guidance to patients regarding their healthcare
  • Assist in minor surgeries and physicals, coordinating with physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Schedule tests and treatments, while effectively managing patient records and files
  • Uphold standards of patient confidentiality and adhere to OSHA and CLIA regulations
  • Monitor and maintain medical supplies, ensuring cleanliness and compliance within the unit
  • Attend required training sessions as mandated by Compass Health, Accreditors, and Funders
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support clinic operations

Required Skills

  • Proficient understanding of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Practical Nursing certificate required for Nurse LPN role
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience if a medical assistant certification is not obtained
  • Preferred: At least two (2) years of experience in a medical office setting
