External facing role primarily focused on supporting the sales teams in translating customer requirements into best practice and cost-effective technical solutions (winning proposal). The role will be a primary stakeholder in the software solution design and development definition for sales propositions with clients, for the Diebold Nixdorf Vynamic Transaction Middleware payments solution.

Provides customer and market feedback by gathering and analyzing marketplace intelligence for new payments solutions and translating into potential technical solutions with business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Technical Pre-Sales support for an assigned base of large and mid-size customers
  • Provides pre-sales design and application support for banking and/or retail payments products and services through ongoing interaction with the Sales, Product and Operations
  • Provides technical design and infrastructure consulting for on premise and cloud-based payments solutions
  • Actively participates from a technical perspective and helps the Sales team achieve and exceed targeted revenue goals
  • Generates accurate and timely design configuration and technical content for customer sales quotations. Conducts technical interviews with customers to clearly define needs
  • Coordinates internal technical resources to develop sales proposals and presentations and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) on complex, high-end solutions. Develops and delivers technical presentations to internal / external groups
  • Provides technical assistance, based on customer feedback and product performance, to Product Management, Marketing and Sales teams
  • Participates in internal meetings to create product packages, communicate and coordinate sales projects across departments, implement new products, solve problems and keep up-to-date with the company's information
  • Assisting with scoping, management and execution of customer pilots and proofs of concept.
  • Escalating complex and/or significant issues to higher levels for resolution
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services and/or retail industries with a focus on payment solutions
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with cloud computing
  • Detailed knowledge of current payment software applications and modern technology, including cloud computing
  • Knowledge about retail banking, payments industry and related typical business processes
  • Ability to identify and articulate solutions both tactically (situational basis) and strategically
  • A proven track record for meeting and exceeding performance objectives
  • Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
  • Position may require up to 20% of travel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a high level of demonstrated oral and written communication, presentation, critical thinking and strategic planning skills
  • Must be adept at team building and collaborating
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in native language and English
  • Capabilities to work in virtual and international teams
  • Strong competence in customer facing environment and the ability to communicate to executives on specific practices from both a business and technical perspective
  • High preference for candidate located in Eastern or Central time zone.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, internal equity, and relevant experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the plan and/or program, whereby an award, if any, may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
