A bit about the job:
2024 sees the start of our Home Claims Transformation journey and this role will be pivotal to achieving our ambitions.
Based in our Home Field Claims Team, this role is responsible for the day-to-day technical leadership of the Home Field Team, a team of Home Field Consultants who act as 'eyes on site,' for our Home Project Managers (who retain customer ownership at desk), handling home claims up to £50k.
Technical leadership is a core feature of this role, and you manage all day-to day technical matters relating to the claims handled by the Home Field Team. You will take ownership and accountability for excellent customer service, cost control and work with the Home Field people lead Home Desk technical leads and our training team to support the overall end to end management and upskilling of our Field Team.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong Technical knowledge relating to Home Claims fundamentals, Philosophies & Standards, insurance principles and policy interpretation.
- Proficient understanding of claims handling, encompassing policy coverage, validation, fraud detection, and the ability to approve and challenge scopes in accordance with policy standards and best practice.
- Coaching experience with proven track record of improving performance and capability.
- Customer Focused, strong communication skills with a talent for building relationships, managing stakeholder expectations, handling conflicts, and effectively resolving problems.
- Ideally, you hold certifications like Cert CII/Dip CII, BDMA, or HND/HNC in Building Studies, or comparable technical/management experience.
- Fully mobile across the UK, spending appropriate time in the field with the team but with a home-based office.

- Starting Salary circa £ 45.000-50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
