The Billing Specialist is a vital part of the overall process of the Accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess accounting knowledge and will have very strong customer service skills along with excellent computer skills, inquisitive, detail oriented, collaborative, a problem solver with critical thinking skills and be a positive teammate.
This is a remote role and the ideal candidate will reside in Central or Eastern time.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
- Set up new customer accounts in the accounting and CRM systems
- Create and update recurring billing contracts in the accounting system
- Set up and maintain billing orders and update CRM/Data tracking system in conjunction with accounting system
- Complete data entry tasks for various accounting processes as required
- Handle a variety of general accounting responsibilities including timely invoicing of fees per contract terms and reporting revenue per GAAP/company policies
- Provide professional interaction and responses to all levels of customers and employees
- Assist Billing Analysts and Staff Accountants with the monthly close process
- Follow up with customers and vendors as needed via e-mail and phone
- Assist with providing supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit
- Contribute ideas for improving the efficiency of accounting processes
- Be flexible and willing to allocate additional time during peak times (month end, audits etc.)
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related experience
- NetSuite, Salesforce and Excel experience preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience showing progression of accounting responsibilities
- Critical and ‘outside the box’ thinking skills
- Attention to detail is a must along with excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable asking questions; including the desire to understand and ask “why?”
- Excellent customer service skills – both written and verbal
- Self-starter who is willing to accept responsibility and ownership for their function on the team
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the proven ability to resolve challenging issues in a timely manner
- Must have a great attitude and be willing to learn, increasingly strive to improve
- Must be a quick learner, self-directed, motivated, and have strong dedication and commitment level to the tasks at hand
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workload effectively and utilize excellent time management skills
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $18.43 - $27.63/hr
