Job description

Our Client’s APIs are looking to connect the next billion people into a secure and open financial system and are on a mission to bring crypto to the masses.

Our Client is the crypto stack that brings together the most powerful payment APIs in one place.

Our client’s services are now being used by hundreds of applications including top wallets to offer the best way to convert card payments into crypto and allow projects to build e-wallets, merchant processing services, and money transfer platforms from the ground up.

Our Client has raised close to $60M in funding and currently is the backbone to thousands of partners and millions of accounts.

We’re looking for someone to grow and develop Our Client’s financial partnerships to further Our Client’s global expansion. You will be responsible for identifying and securing partnerships to support further regional expansion. We’re looking for someone who can build deep relationships with partners and external stakeholders (e.g. regulators) at the executive level, and work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders from Policy, Regulatory, Engineering, Product, and go-to-market teams to further Our Client’s strategic objectives.

This role reports to the Head of Business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day partnership engagement with Our Client’s strategic financial partnerships in the region
  • Navigate, in partnership with BD, banks and issuers to execute deals supporting that strategy and help ensure proper execution plan in place
  • Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies with banks and card networks
  • Strengthen relationships with key Our Client partners, including Our Client’s Bank, Payment Method, and Card Network partners
  • Source, engage and grow an ecosystem of partners to enable regional expansion
  • Structure and negotiate deals with partners, as necessary, to facilitate Our Client’s launch in various countries
  • Collaborate with senior Our Client’s leadership, particularly across Product, Engineering and Business, to develop and execute partnership strategies to improve and differentiate Our Client’s products
  • Support local and regional policy and regulatory engagement

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, partner management or similar roles at a technology company
  • Love and passion for Crypto
  • Experience working in financial services and/or payments, and a strong understanding of the payments and financial services ecosystem on a global scale
  • Strong commercial and product instincts and ability to identify new strategic opportunities with Our Client’s partners, as well as the ability to collaborate with Our Client’s Product, Engineering and Business organization to build world-class features for our users
  • Demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, setting strategic vision, building commercial relationships and solving complicated problems with limited oversight
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to independently drive complex negotiations to completion
  • Humility and leads by example, setting the right context and helping teammates do their best work
  • An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a “users first” mentality
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form, and ability to influence stakeholders across a wide variety of functions
  • Experience working with policy, central bank, or regulatory stakeholders is preferred
