We are seeking a User Experience Strategist to lead research initiatives across our product portfolio. We focus on enhancing the user experience through actionable insights. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams deepening the understanding of our users, their needs, and behaviors. We ensure our products deliver exceptional value.

Partner with the best

You will provide insights guiding design and product decisions while ensuring alignment with the overarching UX vision. Lead research initiatives including cross-product journey mapping and identifying opportunities reducing user friction across the product ecosystem. Ensuring user insights drive evolution of products and strategy, focusing on creating consistent and cohesive user experience.

As a UX Strategist you will be responsible for-

  • Conducting cross-domain research identifying actionable insights, leading studies, usability testing, and interviews to enhance user experience
  • Conducting targeted research on developer workflows, delivering insights that streamline processes and enhance developer tools.
  • Executing research for long-term goals, cross-product journey analysis, product roadmaps, supporting strategic planning for improved user experience.
  • Aligning research roadmap with priorities, ensuring projects deliver timely, relevant insights aligned with business & product goals.
  • Working closely with product teams to integrate research findings into development, driving improvements in usability and performance.
  • Advocating for a user-centered approach in product development
  • Using qualitative and quantitative data identifying opportunities, ensuring teams act on insights to boost usability and satisfaction.
  • Evolving UX research through experimentation to deepen understanding and optimize processes.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

  • 10+ years of UX research experience bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology, sociology, or related field.
  • Have proven experience in leading user research efforts for B2B SaaS products and enterprise software.
  • Possess quantitative analysis skills, particularly for product usage data
  • Hold expertise in various research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
  • Be able to translate complex user needs and behaviors into actionable insights for product and design teams.
  • Have excellent communication skills to convey research findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Experience working within a distributed/cross-functional environment, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, UX Researchers and developers.
  • Be familiar with data analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, Adobe Analytics) and integrating behavioral data into research insights.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $145,300 - $301,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
