The Data Center Infrastructure Construction team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art data center facilities at scale and at pace. This team comprises experienced project managers, commissioning experts, and construction specialists who work collaboratively to ensure the successful execution of complex data center construction projects. Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commissioning Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of our data infrastructure builds. Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and budgets specific to data center infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities.
  • Manage scheduling and delegate workload of regionally dedicated Cx Engineers.
  • System Testing and Validation:
  • Oversee the testing and validation of data center systems and equipment to ensure they meet design specifications and performance criteria.
  • Conduct functional performance tests and document results.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and approve commissioning documentation, including test results and reports.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program for data center commissioning.
  • Identify and address any quality issues or discrepancies during the commissioning process.
  • Travel and Resource Management:
  • Provide forecasting of travel for Cx Engineers and cross-organizational team members.
  • Maintain overall status and priority list of Oracle data center projects globally.
  • Issue Management:
  • Manage escalation of Cx related issues for specific data center projects as needed.
  • Lead development of new Cx requirements and improvements of existing Cx requirements.
  • Manage Cx related Large Scale Event issues.
  • Team and Vendor Management:
  • High-level management of Oracle Cx Consultants.
  • Manage and develop vendor services and equipment vendors.
  • Risk Management:
  • Maintain a risk registry and process for appropriate escalation.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in commissioning and project management, specifically in data center infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of data center commissioning processes and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
