You will become an integral member of the Healthineers Automation IT Team providing 1st & 2nd level support & project implementation support to our customers.

This role is a Field-based role, providing support remotely from home or on-site anywhere in the UK. The role reports into the Customer Services Automation IT Operations Manager in Northwest Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for successfully implementing Siemens Healthineers laboratory diagnostics IT systems within the predetermined time frame, without compromising on quality.
  • You will offer remote or onsite installation/configuration support throughout the project implementation phase.
  • You will conduct standardised application and IT training, educating the customer and other relevant target groups.
  • You will support and provide feedback to the local project manager during all phases of the automation IT project.
  • You will provide customer support during the Go-live phase and promptly address and resolve tickets and issues in the field as they arise.
  • You will be responsible for planning and executing system upgrades in the field.
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the customer Laboratory workflow for the IT solution.
  • You will be required to support and contribute to building the IT infrastructure and establishing the networking environment while adhering to Siemens Healthineers requirements.
  • You will interact directly with customers, including Laboratory Managers, Supervisors, and IT Administrators, as well as external Laboratory Information System vendors, third-party middleware companies, contractors, and facility engineering.
  • You perform pre-implementation activities, including support for the sales process, pre-installation meetings, and technical demonstrations.
  • You will meet with our customers to discuss and establish readiness for Laboratory Information System (LIS) interface communication, network security, and connectivity agreements. You will also establish customer-specific workflow decisions that will determine system configuration activities (e.g., test setup, auto-verification, etc.), allowing for the successful integration of Siemens products.
  • You will be vital in maintaining customer satisfaction with Siemens informatics and automation products and the performance of the integrated Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics products as a complete system.
  • You will be responsible for identifying areas that need improvement, implementing preventative and corrective action plans, and complying with Siemens' quality/regulatory policy.
  • You will address customer Automation IT issues and resolve open tickets in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience:

  • You possess a Technical University or Upper Secondary Education, preferably focusing on IT informatics, medical technology, or Biomedical engineering.
  • You have an excellent understanding of the laboratory workflow and in-vitro healthcare diagnostics in general.
  • You demonstrate an In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, MySQL and Microsoft SQL databases, Linux Red Hat, and Microsoft operating systems is preferrable.
  • To be familiar with automating processes and scripting programming like Python and Bash is an advantage.
  • Working experience in the in-vitro Diagnostics industry is an advantage, preferably with but not limited to Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics/ IT and Inpeco Automation.
  • With your strong interpersonal skills and communication talent, you are at ease collaborating with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Your organisational ability enables you to always maintain an overview in complex situations.
  • You are willing to travel on customer sites with an expected 50% of your time.
  • Strong verbal and written language skills in English.
  • Professional attitude, cooperation, and willingness to work with a team.
  • Full UK Driver's license is essential to the role
