The Role

We’re seeking an outstanding combination Product & Program Management Director to drive the future of the AI and Data  activation program for the Global Private Equity & VC Practice, specifically focused on delivering the power of the Salesforce  platform to Private Equity owned portfolio companies. The ideal candidate is an experienced program and product leader, with deep experience in AI;  understanding business objectives and turning them into actionable programs . They are entrepreneurial, creative and passionate about making customers and their teams successful. This high-profile role is ready for a candidate who wants to take their career to the next level.

We're seeking a strong presenter and facilitator who is able to co-create the vision and lead PE product specialist teams and internal customer or SI teams on the execution with the customer (portfolio company CxOs and private equity operating partners) as well as acquire customer acceptance of the delivered solution . You are capable of driving difficult conversations and removing roadblocks to implement the business strategies. You are proficient at analyzing issues and obstacles to settle root cause, and can identify appropriate corrective action. You communicate with technical and business team members from all levels through C-suite. You show a strong understanding of typical business challenges and common objectives faced by private-equity backed middle-market businesses across industries.

We’re looking for a self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced and multifaceted environments and is able to deliver within defined timeframes. An ideal candidate will have high Emotional Intelligence (EQ) specifically being a great active listener and communicator, who can convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to senior-level executives at portfolio companies and private equity firms. As a team leader working throughout the team, you will influence a team of high-performing TAs, SEs, PMs and Admins; you will be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can drive our Commercial Excellence best practices across Sales, Service, Marketing and Commerce translating those best practices into action and strategic plans for customer actions and advance our Agentforce for Private Equity strategy globally, and drive others in the organization to change. You will interface with internal customer teams and selected SIs to ensure success.

Impact

  • Help build and execute on the deliver strategy and delivery and success tracking/PE Playbooks for the Salesforce Excellence programs, including Agentforce Activation, for our Private Equity program;

  • Engage with portfolio company CxOs and key Private Equity operating partner stakeholders to define enterprise architecture strategies, lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements, and drive early solution consideration around gaps/risks

  • Advise and articulate program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform.

  • Provide guidance on the application and integration development practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education

  • Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce standard processes and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce Product and Engineering to explain customer roadblocks and drive solutions based on customer requirements and product asks.

  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward.

  • Identify and proactively handle any risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.

  • Oversee the development of playbooks working in conjunction with the PE Firms, to document the solutions, effort and ROI impact in the language of private equity.  

  • Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and community sites and social media.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Program and Product Management or similar experience with highly technical products/platforms and a multi-cloud mentality.

  • Experience defining and building AI platforms and capabilities

  • focused on enabling different personas to get their jobs done as part of end-to-end ML lifecycle; good understanding of Generative AI and LLM landscape; strong technical background and ability to collaborate with engineers and data scientists in the space

  • Extensive experience with configuration and customization on the Salesforce platform

  • Authority level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes

  • Detailed individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive, critical issues; able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience

  • Deep experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into a practical product roadmap.

  • Inspirational team leader, driving efficiency and winning the hearts and minds of our Private Equity sector “operating at the speed of PE.”

  • Experience driving deep collaborations within the company and with external partners and customers.

  • This person will be able to collaborate across time zones and travel up to 40%

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills with ability to educate, inform, influence, and drive collaboration across different functions and most senior levels of the organization

  • Dedication to continuous improvement, successful at leading by influence, and excellent at building arguments for investments to improve digital front office operations

  • An independent, self-starter with strong work ethic and personal drive and character qualities that match with our company’s core values and inspire others to follow and act

  • Ability to be agile and proactive in ambiguous specifications

  • Relevant Salesforce certifications and consulting experience are strongly recommended

  • Industry Experience : None needed but multi-industry exposure looked highly upon

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,300 to $290,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
